After months of frantic wedding planning, many couples simply want privacy in a beautiful and romantic tropical island. Indulge in exceptional service and relaxing spa treatments.

Private pool villas are fabulous romantic hideaways. Here is a small selection of our favourites.

Park Hyatt Hadahaa Maldives

The Maldives is high on most honeymoon lists and let’s be honest, it’s easy to see why. In our opinion the Park Hyatt Hahahaa is one of the most perfect resorts.  Here’s why: both the beachfront and overwater villas have complete privacy, you can even have your own pool; the island is encircled by the most perfect powder white beach, and it has the best house reef for easy snorkelling; and finally the all-inclusive package is great – eat and drink what ever you want, wherever you want, whenever you want!

Paradise @ Koh Yao, Thailand

This boutique beach resort is a real find, having stumbled across it we immediately fell in love with it and vowed to return every year – 2 kids later the plan is slightly on hold, but we do hope to return soon. A short boat ride from Phuket, the island is calm and peaceful. The views out to sea are spectacularly romantic and the pool villas are spacious and luxurious.

Maradiva, Mauritius

Mauritius is a great option all year round, and there are some sensational offers for honeymooners.

Our favourite is Maradiva, here’s our snapshot of why:

The private villas all come with pools, indoor and outdoor dining areas and private butlers.

The resort and staff are really geared up for honeymoons and enhance each stay with lots of little surprises.  A fabulous personal touch.

The superb spa has 2 couples treatment rooms.

North Island, Seychelles

If money is no object, North Island is the place to go. It is good enough for Wills and Kate after all! Where the weather is perfect all year round, it’s the ultimate in privacy.  A huge island with only 11 suites, you can go the whole week without seeing another guest (if you don’t want to that is.) The island has been compared to a garden of Eden, and is also home to many endangered endemic species.
