South Africa

[rev_slider Cape-Town]

South Africa represents amazing value for money thanks to its superb exchange rate. There is such a huge amount to see aside from the excellent safari options, which can be combined to create a rich and varied tailor-made itinerary. All first time visits to South Africa should include some time in Cape Town and the Western Cape.

Cape Town is one of the worlds standout cities, mixing a stunning natural setting of harbours, beaches, mountains and vineyards with a contemporary urban culture. It is also full of African history, so is a great starting point for any South Africa holiday. In less than half an hour from Cape Town are the Winelands, which must be some of the most beautiful wine country in the world. Here the countryside and the charming towns of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch are filled with beautiful hotels, sumptuous restaurants and delightful galleries. The drive from the Winelands to the Garden Route through the Karoo is one of the most scenic in the world.

Away from the Western Cape, there are the huge draws of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Pretty much a destination in itself with great beaches, mountains and game reserves. Then of course there is the greater Kruger area, which incorporates private reserves like the Timbavati and Sabi Sands, which have some of the best big cat viewing in the world.

South Africa is also superb for family safaris, there are many malaria free game reserves in the Eastern Cape that specialise in safaris for young children. The Madikwe reserve in the northern cape is also malaria free and excellent for children.
