Southeast Asia

If you are looking for an exciting and out of the ordinary family adventure, then Southeast Asia is a good choice.

The relaxed, tropical way of life lends itself well to a child’s first taste of a radically different way of life. Across this region there is an exciting blend of buzzing vibrant cities, lush rainforests, wildlife, historical culture, outdoor adventure and of course beautiful beaches.

Vietnam is a fascinating country with a rich history and culture, not to mention some great beaches. You can reach Hanoi directly with Vietnam Airlines or by flying either via the Middle East, Bangkok or Singapore, were you could stop-over for a couple of days. Hanoi is beautiful city with charming old French colonial buildings and bustling markets. A great way to see the city is on a guided cyclo tour sitting in the front as your guide peddles behind. The world famous Halong Bay is just a 3 hour drive from Hanoi, here you can explore the vast bay littered with limestone islets and secret caves, you can either stay aboard a classic “junk” boat or on dry land, though we would recommend a cruise as you can see much more of the islands. It is then a short flight down to Hue, were you can travel up the Perfume River and visit the Thien Mu Pagoda. You are not then far from Hoi An a city of great history and heritage, that today is a charming tourist haven thanks to the beaches, shopping, food and boutique hotels. If time permits we you could fly south to Saigon, from here you could either base you self in Saigon and take private boat trips through the Mekong Delta visiting the many towns and cities which sit in the Delta itself. Or you could take a longer cruise up the Mekong into Cambodia either to Phnom Penh or Saigon, there are many beautiful boats to choose from – please do call if you would like to discuss.
